The Dairy

In parts of Bavaria the art of dairy processing has been practised for centuries along the ancient trading routes between the Alps and the Danube. This area with its long tradition of farming has become famous for its excellent milk and cheese products. Zott is one of the largest producers of this type of products.

Everything began in the year 1926 with the purchase of a small country dairy in Mertingen. Over the decades marked by change, Zott has remained a family company prudently managed by its owners. Quality awareness at all levels, consistent market orientation and an active partnership with milk producers and the retail trade form the basis of Zott´s success.
